Can anybody help me please. I am currently researching my family history and cannot find when and where my maternal grandmother, Ellen Sarah Rosendale, was born. I have researched all the usual genealogy websites. Family members are certain that Ellen was born in Kneesworth about 1880. According to her marriage certificate her father was John Rosendale. She married Frederick Henry Howes in 1898.
I wonder whether there are any Rosendales still living in the area that either might be related or know of the family. Or, perhaps, anybody else who can help me track her down. I would be very grateful for any information, however remote it may seem. I don't even know whether she had any siblings. It is possible that her mother was Sarah Ann Pearmain, but I can't prove this. Without her birth certificate I don't know who both of her parents were.
