Fishing near to Bassingbourn

Hi everyone,

I have now been living in the village for a few year and want to get back into fishing. I have tried to research using the internet but not had too much success. Can anyone in the village point me in the right direction? I heard that there was course fishing on a lake at the barracks but cannot find any information on it. Would really appreciate any help or advice from any anglers in the village or just anyone who has any information about good places to fish near to the village.

I heard this too, I think I actually posted on the old forum a few years ago or emailed someone on there but have never had it confirmed!

We dont seem to have many fishing places locally? I know my dad goes to the lake near buckland off the A10... He seems to think this is pretty good and has often commented its quiet but obvously it is about 20 min drive or so from the village.
